Everything you need to know before applying to Xenous

Hello,

In this thread you will find all the information you need to write a proper Join Request. If this is your first time applying, don't worry — we will walk you through every section, so there are no mistakes or misunderstandings along the way, and so you never feel uncomfortable while writing it.

Before you start

• Read this entire thread before you write anything.

• Answer all five questions. Do not leave any of them blank.

• Be honest — everything you write here can be checked.

• Write your request in English, so every member can read it.

• Take your time. A rushed request says more about you than a late one.

The format, explained

Below we explain each part of the format, so that you can complete it without any problems or confusion:

1  What is your nickname, real name, age and current location?

A simple one to start with — just tell us your nickname, your real name, your age and where you are from.

2  What were your previous clans, and why did you leave them?

Tell us which clans you have been in, how long you stayed in each one and why you decided to leave. You can add as much detail as you like, but that is the core of what we would like to hear from you.

3  What do you think about Xenous? How can you be helpful to us?

We would like to know what you think of our clan, what you expect from us and why you are considering joining — along with anything else you would like to comment on.

The second half of this question is what will define the role you take among the members of Xenous, so take your time with it.

4  Which squad(s) are you applying for? (DM Draft / WFF / HDM)

For every squad you pick, rate your skill level in that mode from 1 to 10 and briefly describe your experience or your strengths in it.

If your area is mapping, scripting or anything unrelated to competitive play, you can say so here — or skip this question entirely and explain it in question 3 instead.

5  How can we contact you? Anything else to add?

Finally, we will need a way to reach you, so please give us every means of contact you have available. If you would rather keep that information private, there is no problem at all — just say so.

Choosing a title

Once your Join Request is finished and you feel ready to publish it, the last thing left is the title. We recommend keeping it simple, something like [Squad] Join Request — YourNick, but that is up to you.

While your request is open

• Keep one request open at a time.

• Do not message the staff asking for a faster answer — you will be answered in your own thread.

• Reply to any questions you are asked, and keep the conversation inside your own thread.

• Do not argue with anyone who leaves you feedback. How you handle criticism is part of what we are looking at.

• If something changes (contacts, squads, availability), edit your request or reply to it to keep it up to date.

NOTE

If your application is rejected, please do not take it personally. Decisions are based solely on the clan's current needs and whether your profile matches what we are looking for at that time.

You can always try again later, when you feel ready or if circumstances change, as many times as you consider necessary. We do our best to make sure that neither you nor we waste time.
